This frontpage does nothing to help one navigate through to the items pages, or the NPC pages. Also, the text on the homepage is very obviously hastily added, it even repeats the same thing twice. PLEASE let someone fix this, it's the first thing anyone sees, and they're gonna have this decrepit view. It only conveys the feeling that the rest of the pages are going to be incomplete (which they very often are, but we're about to change that).

There should definitely be a link to the item categories (weapons, armor, shields, talismans, relics, artifacts) in the home page. I tried to use this wiki before I started editing it, and I was frustrated most often than not.

Maybe the characters should be hidden for spoilers, so a collapsed list of them with a spoiler alert on it could work. I could add the character portraits on a large table and a small preview of what their quest is (main motives and such, for example "Jokell is trying to find his lost family, his father and brother [...] ) in their main page, along with what they look like in-game.

Lastly, I'm gonna compile info from testing and reddit, to see what the exact effects of some of the relics and talismans are, that aren't very clear to the player immediately (like what Umbral Veil costs).

Anyway, should I create a home page mockup and link it here, so you can see if you like it and copy-paste it on the actual one?

It definitely needs to be reworked. Surafbrov (talk) 23:06, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
I really like this new homepage! It adresses all of my problems with it. I'll see if I can suggest anything more on it. Should I just copy the source and test edits to the protected pages for suggestions? What should I name the test pages so it's convenient for you and correct for the wiki? Thanks in advance
I'll make sure to sign comments from now on, sorry!

I've created a editcopy of the main page: Ashen Wiki/editcopy. Use the numbers at the bottom to edit each section, as the main page doesn't actually need to be edited. Surafbrov (talk) 19:00, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
