Notes
- All weapons are balanced around five main stats: Moveset/Speed, Stamina Cost, Damage, Critical Chance and Stun
- For example, among the axes, some have higher Critical Chances and lower base Damage, compared to other axes with lower Critical Chances but higher Damage.
- So a player may, for example, choose between high-damage slower weapons (like two-handed mauls) or faster, lower damage weapons (like two-handed axes).
- Generally, blunt weapons have no Critical Chance and slower movesets but high Damage and Stun, compared to bladed weapons that have various Critical Chances and faster movesets, but lower Damage and Stun.
Choosing a Weapon
- All weapons scale on a similar power level when upgraded, so there is no need to hesitate upgrading a weapon that you like, in hopes that you find a better one. Every weapon is just as powerful, but with a different focus. Choose based on which moveset feels best to you, the rest of the stats will be balanced around it.
- Some weapons may fit a niche. For example, a Toothed Club has a unique heavy attack with high range and the highest damage, but doesn't transition to any other moves and has a long recovery.
- Resources are abundand later in the game, so don't hesitate to upgrade a weapon up to Ash Infused +2 (or even +5) just to try it out. There's an overflowing income of Sapient Moss and Scoria after a certain point, making it easy to switch to another weapon that you like best.
Trivia
- Your weapon will glow brighter the higher its infusion is.
